The Miracle League of Alexandria (MLA) welcomed City of Alexandria City Manager, Jim Parajon to the 2026 Spring Youth Miracle League Opening Day Ceremony. The ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 22 at the Kelley Cares Miracle Field. The ceremony honored the youth participants, volunteers, Therapeutic Recreation staff and parents to open the 15th year of the program. City Manager, Parajon, was our special guest and received an honorary membership to the Miracle League and was presented with a MLA hat and t-shirt. He then threw out the first pitch of the season.
The MLA is in partnership with the Washington Nationals Baseball Club’s Team Up Program who provide free authentic Nationals hats and jerseys to all our players in the league. The youth program has 30 participants and plays on Wednesdays at 4:30 pm through the end of May. The MLA welcomes anyone who would like to come out and cheers our players on or even want to volunteer. The remaining schedule of games are April 29, May 6, 13, 20, (Thursday, May 28).
